Ingredients: Kibbled sunflower hearts, dried mealworm, kibbled peanuts, kibbled maize, wheat, pinhead oatmeal, red and white millet
One ingredient of our Fledgling mix is dried mealworms. These dehydrated worms benefit from extended shelf life due to the drying process, while retaining the nutritional benefits offered by nature. This ingredient is particularly likely to attract Blackbirds, Starlings, Robins, Dunnocks, Blue tits, Great tits, Coal tits, Wrens, Chaffinches, and House sparrows. The high fat and protein content means it perfectly complements the oils and nutrients from the seeds in the mix. If you want to supplement your feeding with dried mealworms, they can be added to any bird food or served on their own. Click here to view dried mealworms.
Kibbled Sunflower Hearts
You probably already know that sunflower hearts are an extremely popular choice for bird feeding, with nutritional benefits of fibre, protein, vitamins and oils which help sustain birds of all ages. These same attributes are equally valuable to young birds, which makes them an essential component in Ultiva Fledgling Mix. To ensure fledglings can easily manage the seed, we have specifically included kibbled sunflower hearts, meaning they have been broken into small pieces. If you need to replenish your stocks of sunflower hearts, you can find our selection of differently sized bags here.
Perfect for fledglings
The convenience of an expertly crafted seed mix is something that we pride ourselves on, and Ultiva Fledgling Mix is no different. With kibbled ingredients such as the aforementioned sunflower hearts, alongside peanuts and maize, all of which have been broken down for consumption by small birds, we conscientiously choose the most suitable feed available in nature. Small, nutrient-packed feed rounds off the package, with pinhead oatmeal, red millet and white millet providing an excellent boost for the avian immune system.
